Chhattisgarh & UP police face off in Ghaziabad over TV anchor’s arrest

A bid to arrest a TV news anchor pitted two state police forces – of Congress-governed Chhattisgarh and BJP-governed UP – against each other on Tuesday morning with dramatic scenes playing out in a housing society in Ghaziabad where the two groups of cops remained locked in a prolonged standoff while a third police team – this one from Noida – drove away with the anchor amid a melee at the society’s gates.
